Are You an Introvert? Here’s How to Tell:

People who are quiet, reserved, and thoughtful is often called Introvert. They don’t look out for special attention or social engagements, as these events can leave introverts feeling exhausted and drained.

Here are some common personality traits from which you can find if that person is an Introvert:

1. An Introvert needs time for themselves:

Introvert prefers to enjoy activities alone. for example, they often enjoy reading, gardening, writing, gaming, watching movies, or doing any other activity that’s performed alone.

2. By social interactions an introvert gets drained/exhausted:

While extroverts would not miss a Friday night out with friends, introverts know when they’ve spent out and need to refuel their batteries. That’s not to say all introverts will drop of parties, they can and do enjoy them as much as an extrovert, but at the end of a long night, introverts need to escape to recharge and reset.

3. Working alone keeps an introvert focused:

If a group project feels immense or repulsive, you may be an introvert. Introverts often work best when they work alone. The isolation allows introverts to focus deeply and produce high-quality work. This isn’t to say introverts don’t work well with others; they just prefer to withdraw and focus on the task at hand, rather than navigate the social aspect of working in a group setting.

4. An introvert have a close circle of friends:

Introverts also like to enjoy talking with people and getting to know others. They also prefer the habit of a small circle of friends. High-quality relationships are key to happiness for introverts. But people often mistake an introvert’s small circle of friends as a sign that they can’t make friends or don’t like to socialize. 5. Introverts are self-examining and out of the ordinary:

An Introvert may find themselves daydreaming or working things out in their mind long before they put a plan of action in place or lift a single finger to change anything. Introverts have a very active inner thought process. That also leads them toward self-reflection and research. Introverts are dedicated to pursuing their interests and feeling prepared and well-read.

6. An Introvert is often accused of zoning out a lot:

Introverts often “get away” from a situation by zoning out or letting their mind wander away from the task at hand. For introverts, this may be a way to leave a situation that feels too messy or uncomfortable; it’s a survival tool of sorts. But to others, it may seem like thet’re unfocused.

7. Introverts expresses much better by writing rather than speaking:

When Introverts are not prepared, they are more comfortable in writing their thoughts rather than speaking. An Introvert prefers to think through your response because their communication style is focused and considerate. They can carry on conversations, but if decisions are necessary, they may want more time to consider and weigh their options so they feel confident in the choice.

8. Introverts are emotional, they feel more:

Introverts are more likely to be diagnosed with depression. Introverts prefer a higher quality of friendships and emotional regulation. It may be difficult to achieve this high level of satisfaction constantly.

There are 4 types of Introverts:

1. Social introvert

2. Thinking introvert

3. Anxious introvert

4. Restrained introvert.

Social Introverts are often mistaken for shy and timid in social settings but generally, this is not always the truth. If you are in any case a social introvert, it just means that you like spending more time alone at home. Social Introverts are more likely to go out with their selected few of the best buddies rather than partying with a large crowd of people. Being around people does not necessarily trigger your anxiety. Social Introverts merely revel the comfort of your solitude and would choose to stay home.

Thinking Introvert is often absorbed in their deep thoughts. They wonder about life and analyzing themselves. Thinking Introvert reflects on how you feel and delight in your make-believe world, losing themselves in their dreamy imagination.

Anxious introverts: In contrast to social introverts, anxious introverts purposely isolate themselves to avoid the social spotlight, especially the unfamiliar ones. They feel awkward and painfully self-conscious around people as you may not be confident (or comfortable) with your social skills. Yet, being alone doesn’t reduce their anxiety as they will still brood over what might have gone wrong or how they could have done things differently — even after the event.

Restrained introvert never says anything before thinking. Restrained introverts prefer to “think before they speak”. If you’re a restrained introvert, which is a lesser-known form of introversion, you’re unlikely to feel energized the moment you wake up. Rather, you need to take your time to warm up, gather your thoughts, and observe before you can speak or act. Hence, restrained introvert tends to shy away from spontaneous situations and are very careful when making decisions.

Now that we’ve identified our type of introversion, charge forward and seize the day! Remember to embrace our true selves and learn to be comfortable in our introverted skin. If we’re going to be stuck with it for the rest of your life — it might as well live it comfortably.
